The nature of sailing makes it ideal
for Team Building. Melbourne
and Sydney
Harbour offer excellent sailing for all corporate
sailing activities and regattas.
All the people have to co-operate to
sail the boat, every team member has a role and with
our experienced instructors we can ensure that no one
person 'dominates'.
Corporate sailing activities, either
with one boat or more, involve participants engaged
in challenges that parallel real work environments and
ones that facilitate respect, co-operation, communication
and teamwork.

There are two options for a Corporate Sailing Event
and Team Building activity.
- Option 1: Mono
hull keel boat(s). Capacities 5 to 10, 11 or 12, depending
on specific boat and availability - limited cover and protection
from wind and weather. BYO Catering and Beverages. Regattas upto 150 pax.
- Option 2: 10 meter Seawind
Catamaran(s): Seating for 12 under full cover. Fusion 40 Catamaran, with capacity for 30 participants. Very stable with
Catering and Beverages available. Regattas of 24, 32, 48,64, 80 pax. can be organised.
Both offer a 'hands on' interactive Team activity.
The keel boat is more challenging in its movement and
interaction with the wind and waves, participants are
more 'exposed' to the elements and the boat's motion.
Our philosophy is to make sure all the participants
enjoy and achieve the event's aims and outcomes, not
just the most adventurous participants. The Seawind
Catamarans offer the best facilities to achieve these
aims.
The Seawind Catamarans are fantastic; they offer more
stability than any other sailing craft and have greater
capacity so in most events all Team members can be on
the one boat, a great team bonding activity and reward.

SAILING SYDNEY
Based at the Lavender Bay Boatshed, near Luna Park,
we have many options available to get you sailing on
Sydney Harbour. What better way to showcase and share one of the world's
most picturesque sailing environments along with a truly
beautiful and iconic skyline.
Events vary from a multi vessel regatta or a simple
sail with lunch at a picturesque Harbour beach. If you
would like to make your own itinerary or have any special
requests, just ask!
Our Team provides professional, friendly and highly
experienced skippers for your safety and enjoyment,
so sailing experience is not necessary. Once we leave
the dock, we'll hoist the sails in the shadow of our
great Sydney icons, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge
and prepare for an exhilarating days sailing!

innovation in the field of team building rewards, incentives

When we started SEA Leggs Corporate Team Building 5
years ago, there were no other providers of structured
and facilitated Team Cooking events. We were recently
asked whether our 'Head Chef' was as good as a well
know celebrity chef. The answer lies in understanding
what is required to professionally conduct an accountable
and structured Team Cooking event, where the aims and
outcomes are met or exceeded.
Team Cooking is more that a good 'cook' producing a
meal for a group of work mates and getting them to help.

qualification?
- How many years professional teaching / training
experience do they have?
- Do they have a professional Coaching / Facilitation
qualification?
- Can they articulate the tasks and activities from
the kitchen to the workplace and explain how?

Chefs. The reality is, the actual food being processed,
is just a 'vehicle' for the Team Building process.
In our corporate cooking classes participants learn
to work together to produce exotic and unfamiliar gourmet
meals, using techniques and ingredients entirely new
to most. No prior experience necessary.
For those with little or
no cooking experience this can be daunting. For those
who think they know how to cook, even more so! It's
not about how much you know it's about producing a Team
result.
The old adage, "If you
can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" has no
place in Team building.
Cooking a gourmet meal requires and builds teamwork.
Cooking classes helps a team develops service to others,
close cooperation, planning skills, good communication,
quality performance, leadership, consensus and attention
to detail.
New techniques, ingredients
and tools present opportunities for learning and innovation.
For both the uninitiated and the experienced cook, it
is
a challenge requiring full focus,
openness to constructive criticism, constant learning,
and most importantly, teamwork.

the dishes created are based on the degree of cooking
experience of the group, to provide a challenging learning
experience, to take the group into new territory, to
stretch whatever culinary skills they may have; and

Organisations look for Team activities for a range
of reasons. Sometimes just for a fun get together or
reward, others to build a bond and at the other end
of the spectrum, to attempt to breakdown barriers between
other teams, work colleagues, supervisors or managers.
Team Dancing differs from all those other Team Building
activities that 'try to make something from nothing'
and that have been 'done to death'. It's indoor, it's
flexible - our programs can be done at a conference
venue, your workplace or Dance Studio in a CBD location.
Not only does it help workplace performance, it's holistic
in nature. Participants can develop further skill, self
esteem and confidence by continuing dancing as a social
activity.
Compare some of the other options. What meaningful
Team outcomes can be achieved from crashing into each
other in a go-kart, bruising team mates with a 'paint
ball' or running around in the dark and shooting unidentified
team mates with a laser?
Who chooses the activity? At the heart of team work
is consideration, consensus, compromise and 'sacrificing'
personal considerations for those of the majority. If
a Team member or a minority put their personal likes
and dislikes ahead of the majority, it's a good indicator
of those who may restrict and negatively impact on the
growth and development of the Team.
